The Growing SeedPrayer
The Parable of the Growing Seed (Mark 4:26–29) is a beautiful reminder that while we do our part, the ultimate growth and "mystery" of life belong to a higher power. It’s a prayer about trust, patience, and letting go.

A Prayer for the Growing Seed

Lord of the Harvest,
I thank you for the seeds of hope, work, and love that have been planted in my life. Sometimes I feel the pressure to make everything happen through my own strength alone, forgetting that you are the author of all growth.

Help me to do my part faithfully—to plant the seed and tend the soil—but give me the grace to rest. Teach me to sleep and rise, night and day, trusting that even when I am not watching, your Spirit is at work in the hidden places.

When I cannot see progress, remind me of the earth’s rhythm:
* First the blade,
* Then the head,
* Then the full grain in the head.
Grant me the patience to honor the process and the faith to believe that a harvest is coming in your perfect timing. May my heart be a place where your kingdom grows quietly, steadily, and surely.

In Jesus' Name
Amen.
