The Minas Prayer

The Parable of the Minas (Luke 19:11–27)

is a powerful call to active stewardship and faithfulness

while we wait for the fullness of God’s kingdom.

Here is a prayer centered on the themes of investment, courage, and accountability.

A Prayer for Faithful Stewardship

Gracious and Sovereign God,

I thank You for the "minas" You have entrusted to my care—the gifts, resources, time, and grace You have poured into my life. I recognize that everything I have belongs to You, and You have called me to be a steward of Your kingdom until You return in glory.

Lord, deliver me from the spirit of fear. Forgive me for the times I have buried my potential in the ground because I was afraid of failing or misunderstood Your character. Help me to remember that You are not a harsh taskmaster, but a generous King who empowers those He calls.

Grant me a heart of holy industry. Open my eyes to the opportunities around me to "do business" for Your Kingdom. Give me the wisdom to invest my life in things that matter—to love the marginalized, to speak truth, and to use my talents to reflect Your light. Let me not be idle or indifferent, but found working faithfully when You come.

May I hear those joyful words:

"Well done, good servant." I pray that when I stand before You, I may offer back not just what You gave me, but the fruit of a life lived fully for Your sake.

In the name of Jesus, our King,

Amen.
