The Two DebtorsPrayer

The Parable of the Two Debtors (found in Luke 7:41–43) is a beautiful illustration of how our awareness of God’s forgiveness fuels our capacity to love Him.

A Prayer of Gratitude and Grace

Heavenly Father,

I come before You acknowledging the debt I could never repay. Like the two debtors in the parable, I recognize that whether my failings seem small or great in the eyes of the world, I am equally dependent on Your mercy.

Forgive me for the times I have acted like the Pharisee, judging the "debts" of others while forgetting the magnitude of the grace You have extended to me. Help me to remember that I have been forgiven much, so that I may love much.

Soften my heart to be like the woman at Your feet. Grant me the humility to pour out my gratitude without shame. Let my life be a "fragrant offering" of devotion, driven not by obligation, but by the overwhelming joy of being set free.

Thank You, Lord, for canceling my debt. May Your kindness lead me to be equally gracious to those who owe me, reflecting Your heart in every interaction.

In Jesus' Name

Amen.

Key Reflection from the Parable

"Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little." — Luke 7:47
